What a fun meeting! Huge thank you to Mandy and Kate for stepping in at the last minute and providing absolutely everything needed. The marshmallow idea is something I am stealing. Well done girls.
Also a huge well done to the ladies who submitted items for the WI entry at the Flower Show and the top quiz team – we won both!!!
We are visiting Shepherd Neame for a tour and a 2 course meal on Wednesday 9th October at 6.30pm.. The price is £32.50. If you aren’t on the list but fancy coming can you call me please. I may still be able to book another place or two.
Similarly the trip to the Great Danes for a Christmas Beatles lunch is booked but I may be able to add to the booking. It costs £30 for a 3 course meal and entertainment. At present there are 5 of us going – Marcelle, Lynne, Barbara, Karen and myself.
Following the really successful Art Course I am compiling another list if enough ladies are interested. Just let me know, it really was great fun.
Unfortunately we had to postpone the Hot Potato lunch on 3rd September. There was not enough interest to make it worthwhile this time so we will reschedule later in the year. Please let your friends and neighbours know as it is open to everybody.
Our Christmas lunch will be on Saturday 7th December 1pm at the George Newnham. If your name isn’t on the list either add it next month or just let me know. I will have the menus soon.
We have Bingo with Brogdale sausage and mash on Friday 20th September 7pm for 7.30pm. The cost is just £8. Please put your name on the list and indicate how many people so I can cater for it. This is open to all and will be a fun evening! At present we do not have many names on the list; please let us know ASAP as this is a brilliant evening.
On Friday 4th at 11am Vena will be teaching us some Tai Chi at Frinsted Village Hall. This is free and open to all members. If you are not sure where or how to get there we can meet you at Milstead village hall. This will be a great morning.
There are several events organised by East Kent Federation in your EK news magazine. If you are interested in any of them just let myself or Marcelle know and we can book it
Next month we are asking for nominations for members of the committee. You can nominate others or yourself. We would really like to see some new members; we only meet 6 evenings a year and have a good laugh. Please consider it.
See you all next month October 3rd, we have a lady showing us how to line dance! Obviously you do not have to participate – it will be fun watching I’m sure!
