MARCH 2023 NEWSLETTER

March 2023.

Last month you gave nominations for potential new committee members. Three of the nominees agreed to join the committee, which is brilliant news for Milstead w Frinsted. As we have a good-sized group a healthy committee will keep the group fresh.

I spoke to EKFWI and they advised that we were able to vote for the whole committee to be elected en masse. This was voted for with a show of hands.

Your new committee are Marcelle, Dilys, Donna, Di, Jenny Harper, Tracey, Karen, Claire and myself. Barbara remains as our Membership Communication Officer and Mandy maintains our website. I am very grateful to them all for continuing to support our WI.

Dilys presented the Financial statement and report and Marcelle gave the Committee report.

If you weren’t able to join us last night and would like to read any of the reports please ask. We can also put them out next month for you to read.

I was re-elected as your president which I am thrilled about. Thank you – I will continue to do my best.

Our subs are due now. If you haven’t managed to get your £46 to Dilys can you please do as soon as possible. You can send her a cheque, take around cash or pay in online. The account details are 10429303 sort code 09-01-51, the account name is Milstead with Frinsted

Institute and it is a business account. Please use your name as the reference. If there are any problems with this please let me know asap. 07729828959

As I explained last night the Local Group of WI’s the Bredgar Group has been dissolved due to a complete lack of interest from the remaining Groups. Initially it comprised of thirteen groups, Bapchild and Tonge, Bredgar, Borden, Cherry Hill, Murston, Sittingbourne Centre, Tunstall, Tunstall evening, Wyatt, Wormshill, Rodmersham, Rodmersham Green, Milton Regis and us.
