Sorry we had to rush things tonight but we have a lot of exciting outings and things to look forward to this year.
Welcome to our two new members, look forward to seeing you both next month.
Bapchild WI is having their birthday party 19th February at 14.30 (that’s 2.30 in old money) if anyone else would like to come with us please let me know ASAP.
The Coffee Morning at Frinsted VH is in aid of Motor Neurone Disease. Please come along on the 7th March from 10.30-12.30 and support your WI and this worthwhile charity. It is our turn to man the cake stall so we need donations of cakes and any good quality bric-a-brac. If you can’t come please bring your donations along to the meeting on 5th March.
Please try to come along to our quiz night, as Lyn said it is a big fundraiser for us but most of all a lot of fun. For just £7 you get a good quiz and a lovely supper. Try to get as many as you can together but if you can’t please come along and join a team. The date is 27th March 7 for 7.30pm. Bring your own drink.
BBC1 this Monday 9th at 19.30 – Inside Out will feature the East Kent Baton journey.

Other dates for your diary:

The ACM 2015 will be on Wednesday 25th March at Margate and promises to be an excellent day. Tickets should arrive soon.
There will be an audition day for speakers at Bobbing VH Monday 13th April with the morning session starting at 10.30am – pay on the day.

Group meeting 16th April at 7.30pm at Rodmersham VH. This is open to all and is just £1.50. The entertainment will be Morris Dancers. Joyce has said she will make an Easter Bonnet for the competition. Well done Joyce.
Resolution debate and lunch at Chartham VH £5, closing date 27th March. This should be a lively debate and an excellent chance to find out more about this important part of the WI’s role in politics.
East Kent Federation are asking members to look in their cupboards and donate any unused , unwanted craft items, sewing items, materials, crocheting, knitting, wool, threads, anything you bought but never used. They can make good use of it. You can either take it into Canterbury to the office or if you bring it in to us we can take it there.
If you would like to be in with a chance of winning a bursary to Denman College just put £1 in an envelope clearly marked with your name and name of our WI and we will take it to the ACM in March.
If you haven’t paid your subs can you please send a cheque to Katie ASAP. The booklets and programme cards are all ready and the sooner we can get this done the sooner we can update our member list.
If any of you have any ideas for stretching £20 as far as it will go please let myself or Lyn know. The idea is that EK give each WI £20 and the WI uses that money and makes it go further. So far an idea of a raffle has been put forward.
We are starting a WI film club (as well as our Book Club). We will be using the cinema in Sittingbourne or Faversham. Barbara will organise the first trip and we will see how it goes from there. I for one will be going! If you are interested can you please let me or Barbara know?
Well I think that is it, apart from a huge thanks to Sue for the cards, I don’t know where she gets the patience or time to cut out all those tiny pieces of paper. Thanks Sue.
Next month Thursday 5th March we have Steve Wood coming to talk about the Shelter Boxes.
The hostesses are Andrea, Sue Pennells and Barbara (is that right Barbara?).
See you for coffee on the 20th at Rodmersham.
