June 2026

Hello Ladies,

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on Thursday 4th June

This month is our speaker is Katherine Hook, who came to us and talked about her passion for Sloe Gin & Chocolates and let slip that her other passion was Motorbikes. So, she coming back to tell us all about “4 Decades on 2 Wheels” on Thursday. Sould be another interesting evening, I’m wearing my Biker Jacket !!

As always there is a lot of information and events detailed on My WI and in your East Kent News which should have been emailed separately to you. I urge you to have a look before our meeting on Thursday, we will of course mention certain events to you during our meeting but with so much going on it would take up too much time to mention everything and I know you would rather listen to our speaker and have a cuppa and social time!

We will be completing any blanks on the list for Hostesses this year so be prepared with dates that you will be available please if you haven’t already put your name down.

It will be your last chance to put your name down for the Garden Party next month, if you can’t make this week’s meeting and want to go please let Marcelle or myself know ASAP

The Sittingbourne Group of WIs Summer Games Afternoon is on Friday, 10th July 2.30-5pm. It’s a free event and will be held at Borden VH. Please let Jen or Marcelle know if you are interested or put your name on the list, numbers are limited so don’t miss out if you want to go.

Our new Bring & Buy table which replaced the Swap Table was a huge success last month so please bring along any items you wish to donate and remember to bring some cash for a donation, for larger items a “suggested donation” will be given.  All proceeds will go to WI funds or Charities of our choice. This year the EKFWI Charity of the year is the KSSS Air Ambulance.

There will be a table at this month’s meeting of brand-new handbags that Elaine Broad’s husband Neil has given to Pat Newman, he has asked that if members would like to have one all they need to do is make a donation to the Stroke Association in Elaine’s memory – Pat will be telling us all about this at Thursday’s meeting.

Remember to bring your diaries and some cash as we don’t want you to miss anything!

See you on Thursday,

Jen xx
