May 2015 Newsletter

Milstead w Frinsted WI Newsletter May 2015

If you weren’t able to join us last night you missed such a good evening. The speaker Ray Spiller took us through all the hits of the 50’s to the present peppered with some of the funniest jokes we have ever heard! We may have to have him again.

Some sad news is that several of our members have been very unwell lately. Jean Slate has had a nasty sudden operation and is recovering at home, Viv has had a digital cochlear implant and now has to wait 4 weeks before they turn it on and let’s pray she will be able to hear! Lastly Sue Pennells has had a dreadful accident in Cuba and has been flown home for surgery on her leg.  Our thoughts are with all these brave ladies and their families at these difficult times.

The result of our resolution meeting was that we were unanimously against the resolution but we have given Lyn discretion to vote as she thinks is appropriate at the AGM in the presence of the Her Majesty and the Princess Royal.

Orders are now being taken for the WI diary for 2016 £3.80, orders to Katy please.
