DECEMBER 2022 NEWSLETTER

December 2022 Newsletter

So nice to see you all on Thursday, amazing what the promise of chocolate does!

Wasn’t she clever. I have asked Jane. if she can do us a workshop. If you would be interested please let me know, for numbers and dates etc.

Thank you all so much for the food donation. The Food Bank were overwhelmed by your kindness. Thank you .

Wasn’t the birthday party lovely. I thought that Damien did very well with our cooker. Joy Dey had a great time and entertained us perfectly. Thank you again to Jenny for the fabulous cake and to the craft club for the felt brooches. Great team effort. You should have seen the photo in East Kent news and hopefully it will appear in the WI life. Now all we have to do is get the minutes etc to the Kent Archives and they will never end up in a dusty attic again.

In an aim to make the coffee mornings a bit more personal we will meet for coffee on Tuesday 13th 2pm at mine. If you want to come but need a life etc etc please let me know. Going forward if you fancy hosting it at your please let me know. No pressure at all – we do not need cake, a hot drink and nice company is enough!

There are several events and trips organized by the East Kent Federation which are on the EK news digital newsletter.

Don’t forget to check out the East Kent FB page, all their events are on there. I also try to put them on our FB page. IF you are not a member of our group yet, please join it. It’s an easy way to keep up to date and informed.

Milstead Village Hall are arranging a Music Quiz on Friday 9th December, just £7 a head. Please see Janice if you are interested.

Our annual subs scheme has started. This is not at all compulsory just a way of making life a bit easier. Please continue to tick the form when you arrive whichever way you pay. If you haven’t paid the £10 to Dilys and wish to continue paying when you come it is £1 or £2 for visitors.

We will be bowling at Sittingbourne Light on Saturday 14th at 3pm. I need names asap as this needs to be booked and paid for, I need numbers for the lanes. The cost is £6 per person.

Next year we will be organizing the follow trips. I will not be prebooking but what I would like is for you to express your interest and I will then book it according to your availability. Hopefully this will mean that more of you may be able to join in. I have made them all local and very cheap too.
