JANUARY 2023 NEWSLETTER

JANUARY 2023

 Newsletter

I have decided to send out the newsletter before the monthly meeting to see if that helps you when it comes to booking onto events that are announced at the meeting.  If you see anything below that you would like to attend you can bring the money with you and let us know on the night.

The lists will still go out on the welcome table .

Just a reminder ladies that you need to check in at the front table when you arrive and if you haven’t paid your coffee money annually please put the £1 in the tin. If you are a visitor it is £2 for the three free meetings. If you decide to join please see Dilys , our treasurer. This is a legal requirement.

Tomorrow night we have Tony Harris instead of the speaker on your cards.

We are asking you to nominate potential committee members at tomorrows meeting. This does not mean the nominee has to stand for the committee. I will call all nominees to ask if they would be prepared to join the committee at our March Annual Meeting. If you would like to nominate yourself that would be great!

This month’s coffee morning will be on Thursday 19th at 11.00 . It will be at Beverley’s house in Bapchild. Can you let me, Angela, know if you are coming for numbers etc. This is to try and make us more inclusive to our new members. I would like a volunteer to host it next month. This is not supposed to be stressful, a packet of biscuits and a coffee is all we need.

We are having a quiz on Friday 31st March 7pm organized by Steve . There is a list for you to put your name and numbers on asap. It will be £10 and includes a nice platter of food. Bring your own drinks. You do not need a team and it is really good fun. It is a fundraiser, please come along if you haven’t been before, it is a very relaxed evening!

There are several events and trips organized by the East Kent Federation which are on the EK news digital newsletter.

Don’t forget to check out the East Kent FB page, all their events are on there. I also try to put them on our FB page. IF you are not a member of our group yet, please join it. It’s an easy way to keep up to date and informed.

The bowling at Sittingbourne Light on Saturday 14th at 3pm needs final numbers. The cost is £6 per person, you are welcome to bring others with you as long as we have numbers please.
