December 23 Newsletter
Hello ladies
I hope you all enjoyed this months’ meeting. Very sorry I couldn’t be there. The committee and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and safe Christmas and look forward to seeing you all in the New Year for another packed WI year.
Thank you all for your Foodbank donations. As you all know it is very needed and very appreciated by both New Leaf Support and Sittingbourne Foodbank.
Next years subs are due by the end of March. They are £48. If you are paying by cheque can you please give to Dilys anytime up to three March meeting. Bank transfers can be done up to the middle of March. It makes life a lot easier for our treasurer and Federation treasurer if we are prompt. We will give you the bank details in the New Year.
Our January meeting is on the second Thursday 11th to give us time to recover from the festivities!
The WI Christmas tree is currently at Tunstall Church. Do pop along and see them all if you have time. They are there till Sunday afternoon. I will bring your photos to the January meeting .
The East Kent annual meeting takes place at Folkestone on March 19th 11-4. The tickets are £16 . If you’ve not been before I highly recommend going. There are two speakers, all the usual annual meeting bits and some interesting stalls. I will be driving so you can jump in with us.
Let Marcelle or myself know if you want to join us and we can book it for you.
Next year we are visiting the Kent police museum in Faversham on Monday 29th April 2024 at 11am. We will have lunch afterwards for those interested. It is free but I will need numbers .
On the 18th June next year we are having a local WI coach trip to Ramsgate tunnels. This will be approx £25 inc a cream tea. I need an expression of interest please at this stage.
We are having a wine tasting fundraiser next year on Friday 11th October. Not to be missed and
our quiz night will be on Friday April 12th at 7pm .
